Abstract: In this paper, we show how to use the free and open source software (FOSS) GeoGebra to explore and then do compass and straightedge (C+S) constructions in exactly the same way as using the actual tools. In this way the skills are completely transferable in both directions. Because GeoGebra is FOSS, both teachers and pupils can freely practice and learn these techniques. We show the 2 pre-prepared GeoGebra worksheets that come with the basic and advanced C+S toolbars and demonstrate their use by completely working through an example. Finally, our team has translated all these materials (as well as GeoGebra and the help and the introduction books) into Macedonian, so C+S with GeoGebra is available totally in the language of our pupils and students.
